« on: Friday 01 September 23 17:50 BST (UK) »
Hello,
Looking for a U.S. Naturalization Record/Passenger Lists for my ancestor Albert Jacob Eisenman (1876-1948) who was born Jakob Albert Eisenmann in Benningen am Neckar, Germany. He emigrated  in about 1890. His 1st wife is Helen (maiden name unk). He settled in the Buffalo, New York area. He may have been a U.S. soldier in 1902 as well as WWI.
    Thanks!

The image of the above enlistment has his place of birth as Benningen, Germany; age is 25 8/12, farmer. Blue eyes, dark hair, ruddy complexion, 5'4".

Can't read the complete note, however I think it says "discharged January 2 05 at Fort Porter, NY ..."

Fits with 1903 and 1904 Buffalo city Directory which has "Eisenman Albert J. private 1st Inf. U.S.A. Fort Porter"

If this is Albert and Helen In the NY 1905 census, he is still "alien",  so not naturalised yet, though it says Albert is only 2 years in the US, so didn't arrive c1890.  :-\

though I note the 1920 census says he was naturalised in 1898 (Helen in 1905), so perhaps the 1905 census is simply an error.

Couldn't find the right database for that- if anyone could help with a maiden name for Helen A Eisenmann or more precise date/place of birth, or even who she traveled with from England, that would be great.
    Thanks,

Helen A Eisenmann died 14 July 1933 Buffalo New York certificate number 40717

See instructions for Frederick.

Her husband would have provided the information on her death certificate so it should be accurate.
