It looks like Mary Wykes but needs to be verified, need to get the marriage certificate.

Edited.
I had found a marriage of a Mary Bailey to a Richard Wykes but they are still together 1871 so NOT the family

Mary Perry died 1896
Ref: Nonconformist , London 19 March 1896
Mary widow, 79 St Giles Street, Northampton widow of Pickering Phipps Perry J.P. Esq. in the 70th year of her age.

This is different information so you will need to check.

One tree gives Mary Wykes parents as Benjamin Stevenson and Sophia Wilkinson.
I haven’t researched that but in 1871, there is a niece living with Mary and Pickering.
Ellen M Hobson, 17 yrs b Leicester.
GRO shows Ellen Mary Hobson b 1853, Leicester with mother’s name Stevenson.

Just to add,
That family tree with Stevenson parents shows the marriage that amongd refers to (now discounted).
This shows how important it is to check information.

If you want to follow Mary Wykes you will need the marriage certificate to see who she names as her father and go from there.

I haven't found a newspaper article (still looking ) about the second marriage.

Thanks again

I was only concerned to add Mary Wykes as Pickering married her (as I mentioned)

Of course it essential to do your own detective work, as I have done but a parallel Tree is useful to compare.

The Family I am interested in is the "Phipps of Northapton" (Phipps the Brewer etc). The Perrys married into that Family (as did others).

It is possible (to return to the original question) that Rebecca Perry & Pickering were cousins (ie their respective fathers were brothers James & John Perry (if their father can be found)
