The will of James Ponsonby Hill, d. 1880 residing at  Jonesbourough Court, is online at Proni.  In his will he doesn't mention Samuel but he does mention the following people:
his brother John Hill of Ballaghey, Co. Derry.
his dau, Charlotte
his daughter, Sara, Mrs. Irwin
his daughter, Alice, who married her first cousin, Capt. (Maj.) Hill at James's displeasure
his daughter, Mabella, who married a common policeman and was sent to America in disgrace
his wife, unamed.
Mabella Maria m. in 1866 to James Rainey, sub-constable, Letterkenny, son of William Rainey, farmer.
