William Clemson, Lower Penn 1851
« on: Sunday 03 September 23 17:06 BST (UK) »
I'm looking for William Clemson in 1851. His Birth was abt.1777 in Penn? an Ag.Lab. He died in 1855. His wife Susannah appears on the 1851 census at Queens St.Cosely and is a married visitor staying with Samuel and Rachel Hemmings  (Could these be relatives). There's no sign of William though.
Many Thanks

There is a William Clemson, born c.1781 in Trysull, living in the hamlet of Lower Penn with 2 lodgers, Benjamin Powell and Catherine Law. His occupation is Ag Lab, but the marital status box has been left blank.

There is a 1777 baptism in Trysull for a William Clemson, son of William and Susannah.

There is a marriage between a William Clemson and Susannah Thomas on 8th July 1799 in Claverley (not too far from Penn).

Snap again!  ;D

Baptism of a Susannah Thomas on 7th December 1780 in Wombourne (close to Penn, which Susannah gave as her place of birth on the 1851 census). Parents were William and Catherine.

Thank you all for this information. It looks like him in 1851. I'll try and find it. It doesn't appear on my Ancestry site in 1851. Wonder if Clemson has been wrongly transcribed?
