Can anyone read what the occupation is? I can see Spreader but have no idea if that's right!  ;D ???

I would agree with Spreader, whatever that is!
Cornwall: Bailey, Bilkey, Collins, Goldsworthy, Holman, Ivey, Martin, Michell, White.
Lancashire: Clough, Hargreaves,Hilton.

My Dad was an Asphalt Spreader but when William enlisted in 1915 the industry was just starting.
When William was Demobbed 12  October 1919 as Class Z he had become a Qualified Driver with the RASC

You could always see what he was doing at the time of the 1911 and 1921 censuses.
