Diary summary week ending 10th September
« on: Monday 04 September 23 07:52 BST (UK) »
Good morning  all, hope everyone is feeling chipper this week

Expected to be a hot week this week, hope not to hot but I feel as if we have had hardly any summer at all..

Had one of those silly nights where I have lain awake for hours, eventually was up before 6am,  street lights still on, what a waste, the timer needs adjusting.

My grandson is 21 tomorrow but  he is away so if there is any celebrating it won't be till  he returns,  goodness knows  what to buy a 21 year old lad.

Viktoria,  hope your sons move next door will  be complete soon and you will  have your home back to do as you like when you like, hopefully you will  be invited next door for a cuppa or 2. Also hope there is better news about your friend

Take care everyone

Hello everyone,

I have been following all the news even though I have not contributed.  Was really pleased to hear of PharmaT’s success and all the amazing anniversaries people have been celebrating. It is our 39th anniversary later this month, mere novices by comparison.

Much more exciting, my daughter is getting married on Saturday so hope the predicted Indian summer lasts until then.

Take care

Pinetree

Got my copy of the local NewsSheet, from the place where I used to live as a child.
Amazing, a pregnant man! ——- Well, a proud couple announced “ the pregnancy of our son and daughter in law.”!
Well it had to happen, let’s hope he has lots of stitches!

Glorious day, washing done, a pair of unruly shrubs brought to heel,Cornus and Flowering Currant.
Chicken for tea, so oven on —— :(
It will be hot in my kitchen as it faces South.

Daughter phones tonight ,she sent a lovely little video  of her horse.
His treatment has done so much to improve his well being .
It is a good job we made our daughter do a full course on good practice at a highly regarded stables and then college .
It has saved her lots of money and her  horses have had the best care.

Bought Kyra a baby jig saw and a little denim dress on Saturday.
The denim is so soft ,and faded,- you pay more for that!,isn’t it daft!
I must post them .

Ate  the last fig from my little fig tree. So sweet.

I might not live to see my son in his house!
He is busy cleaning off years of paint from the original 1929 Bakelite door knobs !
Went to a big antique emporium yesterday .to see if he could get one more as one is damaged.
Detail details !
Ah well ,he deserves what he wants .

Got stung by a wasp today, on my Rt index finger.
Whilst eating the fig.
Just imagine  if I had eaten it ! Oooer!
Had a Wasp Sting stick ,so not too bad.

Vinegar for wasps ,Bicarb for bees ,or is it the other way round, mmmmm.

Hope all are well , that everyone has has some sunshine .
Take care of yourselves.
Viktoria.

Well Viktoria,  you made me laugh about the stitches,  can't understand it myself but days of equality and all that , heard it said once if man was to have the second child there would be no more.

Oh dear, a wasp sting,  you were lucky, my sister In law who was blind  did bite a sandwich which had a wasp sitting on it, stung her mouth, she was incredibly lucky

Denim only faded, well some trousers hardly leave any material left with splits and bits cut out  AND  they cost a fortune,  can't see the sense  of only buying half jeans as they are so short of material.

It is quite hot today, a slight breeze but not enough, her I am complaining it is hot when if was so cold last week.

Enjoy your evening

Hello to all…

Viktoria you’re enough to brighten anyone’s day! If your sons only just restoring the door handles you might have along wait! Hope you’re not suffering too much from your sting…
I had a bee sting me on the throat area once…window open in the car and it flew straight in and stung me then fell into my lap.. I’m surprised I didn’t end up on the pavement!

LM - enjoy this lovely sunshine whilst we’ve got it as I’m sure it’ll soon disappear!

Congratulations on your 39th anniversary Pinetree it’s no mean feat to reach those numbers these days! Hope you have a great day’s celebration.

Thank goodness we did all our back hedge cutting yesterday and Saturday as I think with 27C we might have expired today! Much preferred sitting in the shade to read… making the most of it…

Daughter and family were in Devon last week near Dartmouth and weather not brilliant so they decided to stay until today arriving home at teatime so they could make the most of the sunny weather… I’d say cutting it fine as boys back to school tomorrow! Tut tut from OH, who was a teacher in a former life!

Have a good week everyone.

I agree about coming home and school next day but it is up to them I suppose, my grandson comes home and next day goes back to Uni, bad planning , although I do think in most cases the first week back is just a settling in time but I really don't blame them getting the extra sunshine days in, not had enough this year. I like Dartmouth area.

Vktoria is full of humour and good stories, she certainly makes  me laugh.

Off out with a friend today near the seaside, lots of chatting laughing and of course we stop for  lunch somewhere,  might be Leigh, what to wear? , sun out but a chill in the air

Take care everyone
