I have a marriage for

Walter Reid and Mary Kennedy
St Nicholas Plumstead, 14 Feb 1779
Witnessed by John and Anne Hull

Details found in

London, England, Church of England Marriages and Banns, 1754-1932
and
London, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1538-1812

Would there be any likelihood of finding a record of marriage with fathers details anywhere else?

As I am at a bit of a brick wall with this pair!

Unfortunately, Rosie, I don’t.
I have the daughter Elizabeth Ann Reid baptised at St Mary Magdalen, Woolwich on 16th July 1780, but nothing for them other than their names

I did wonder if he was in the Army but only because he was 'from Woolwich'  .  It is something that I would be looking at if he was in my tree.

What happened to Elizabeth

As far as I can work out…
Elizabeth married Alexander Jenkins on 25th May 1810 at St Giles, Southwark
He then died in September 1810 and she remarried Samuel Denton at St Margaret, Lee Green in 1811

Historically my family from this area are either farmers or workers at the Woolwich Arsenal, but I will check out the military records…I didn’t think of that. Thank you Rosie
