Mary Davies parents?
« on: Tuesday 05 September 23 17:28 BST (UK) »
I have Mary Davies married to Walter Clemo in 1742 at St Mewan.

Children: John 1743 - 1744, Ruth 1745, Joseph 1748, John 1749, Ann 1751, William 1758, Mary 1762

Walter's father is John. Mother was Joan Hill (although one marriage record says Holt.) Married in 1703 at St Mewan.
Siblings: Elizabeth 1704, John 1705, Ruth 1708, William 1713, Richard 1715,

Joan's father was Edmond Hill. She was baptised 1688 at St Mewan.

I don't have any more information on Mary Davies. Can anyone see anything?

Have you seen the actual image of the marriage record?

Who are the witnesses, they could be family.

Unfortunately I can't find that. On ancestry, his name has been transcribed as clemms and on Cornwall database as Clemmo.
Family search has same info.
Couldn't find anything on freereg.
Transcriber on Cornwall OPC database hasn't recorded anything other than the bride and groom's names and that it was a banns wedding.

I would contact the Cornwall Archives see if they have the original parish records, they have a copying service.

It would be a nominal amount.

Hi
There is a Joseph Davies /Davy/Davys having children in the parish
Thomas 24 Oct 1719
William 22 July 1723
Thomas 13 May 1727
Ann June 1729
Jenefer 28 Dec 1736
Honor 16 Sep 1739

Joseph married Anne Grigg 12 Oct 1717

No Mary but he seems to be the most likely.

BT is on FamilySearch (doesn't mention the banns)
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-L9GF-RJJL

Who are the witnesses, they could be family.

Sadly, there are no witnesses on marriage records until 1754
