Place in Stornway
« on: Wednesday 06 September 23 13:52 BST (UK) »
Hi
I would love some help to identify the place in Stornaway  where this couple were living.
Can't decide if I need help with the handwriting or with knowledge of the islands!

I should have added that the marriage took place in 1897 so may be the place does not exist nowadays.

Thankyou for that suggestion Shaun J - it does look very likely and explains why I couldn't find the name on a current map. Also the map SMJ - is just great, showing the location. Makes you think though as it shows that the Isolation hospital and workhouse both located nearby.
