This is the 1843 marriage record for Gamp and Kruger/Goltz that mentions the divorce. It's from the Schlosskirche records in Stettin.

- Ross (Huntly, Aberdeenshire, Scotland)
- Clark (Bellie, Moray, Scotland)
- Parker (Bristol, England/West Indies)
- Appleyard (Tadcaster, Yorkshire, England)
- Wheatley (London, England)
- Gallagher (County Donegal, Ireland)
- Lambert (County Limerick, Ireland)
- Casbolt (Cambridgeshire, England)
- Slavin (County Armagh, Ireland)
- McBride (County Armagh, Ireland)

geschieden durch
Erkenntniß vom
5 Juli 1842
Attest der Rechts
kraft vom 21
März 1843
und zwar unbedingt (unconditional)

This refers to the “judicial decision of divorce”, i.e. on July 5, 1842 the judge decided that the two were eligible for divorce.
However, divorces only became final when the registrar carried it out in the presence of the spouses in the registry office

They had to fulfill the following:
1 clarify proprietary affairs
2 ensure the wellbeing of the children
3 confirm their wish to divorce 5 times in periods of 3 months
(this would normally have been 15 Months)

then the registrar was empowered to finalize the divorce.

So, on the 5 Juli 1842 the judge allowed the divorce process to begin
The couple fulfilled the items 1-3
then the registrar finally divorced the couple on the 21 March 1843

Thank you so much for explaining the divorce process, that makes a lot of sense and puts the dates into perspective. I really appreciate that :)
