I see that. But his brother was born in 1850. His parents only married in 1849.

Elizabeth not one of the family names. I’m going to see if he left the family behind in Ireland for some reason.

Yes ... good idea.

Adding link to passenger lists into Victoria, AUS in case you wish to search further.   [Some passengers appear on lists as just ... "Mrs / Miss / Mr" etc. with ages shown at time of their journey.
 Not easy to search. ]

Patrick, his only full brother,
was in the Auckland area of New Zealand, working as a gold miner at St. Bathans. His name did not appear on electoral rolls in 1893, so perhaps he either died or left New Zealand then.

Are you wanting to find Patrick in NZ ??

If so, can we have a birth date (or year of birth), please ?

Only have the year 1850. His parents married 1849.

At this stage, I’m beginning to think this is a successful dead end. Both Patrick and Martin never went to USA

I’m trying to find a Barron who fathered a child in South Carolina USA, giving rise to my currentDNA match (4th cousin) there today.

I though Patrick and his brother were the most likely suspects. But this seems to be impossible.

However, your research has unearthed new information that is worth pursuing.

Again, many thanks.
