Coastguard long service medal records
« on: Saturday 09 September 23 15:00 BST (UK) »
Help please, can anyone point me in the direction of where I can see Long service and good conduct awards for HM Coastguard 1902-1910.
ALSO are there any service records for coastguards for this period??
Thanks in advance

Presumably you are looking at UK coastguards.

I can't see any long service or good conduct medal records at TNA.

But there are service records in ADM 175 and these are available as part of the Digital Microfilm project from TNA.  They are free to download, but some of the files are huge, so beware.  The  research guide is here:

https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/help-with-your-research/research-guides/free-online-records-digital-microfilm/

The service records for ratings 1900-1923 cane be found in ADM 175/82A-84B here:

https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/browse/r/h/C60193

RN ratings who served with the coastguard are in ADM 175/85 - 89

I hope that helps.

Nell

Thanks Nell, the person I am looking for is a Boatman. HM coastguard. I'll hunt in the files you suggested.  Regards.
