Cradley lookups please
« on: Saturday 09 September 23 16:48 BST (UK) »
I'd be grateful if anyone has any of the following Cradley records.

I've seen the index entries already for the first batch (Rowley), I'm looking for incidential info such as witnesses, where living when buried, etc. that might confirm relationships already proposed. Thanks in advance.

Baptism of George Rowley, 31 Dec 1786
Baptism of James Rowley, 1789
Baptism of Thomas Rowley, Jul 1795
Baptism of Richard Rowley, 1800 and/or 1802
Marriage of William Rowley to Ann Taylor 1807
Burial of John Rowley, 1823 in St James
Burial of Ann Rowley, 1825 in St James

These are more speculative, it would be great to know if they appear in the Cradley registers:
baptism for Ann Jewell b.approx 1807-12, possibly Cradley
baptism for Sarah Jewell b.approx 1813, Cradley
baptism for a Thomas Jewell b.approx 1813, possibly Cradley

Thank you!

Hi
Sorry I can't see the images for Cradley but for the Jewells

Sarah Jewell bapt 17th April 1813 d of William and Sarah Jewell is there but not Thomas or Ann

ps there is a family tree on Ancestry with photos of Ann Jewell and William Rowley born 1807 Cradley if that helps.
Of course it may be yours ,so if so sorry.

Thanks, does it have any other details for Sarah's baptism in 1813?

It's the correct family you spotted. Ann Jewell was a Mormon convert and went to Utah with her kids. There's a ton of info on familysearch about them but the fact has got mixed up with the mythology of Ann as an early pioneer. I'm trying to unpick it because I've got lots of DNA matches to Ann's son, John, so my connection is upstream of Ann (or her husband).
