Hi ive missed where it says widow  ;D and the Could only find this death of John scott closest that fits i couldn't find an earlier death

Now im totally baffled so John must have died before Sarah's marriage to Henry ( 1839).

Not sure about this, but:

Death Registration - December quarter 1837 - Ecclesfield RD (which covers Barnsley - ADDED - and Silkstone)

John Scott aged 44
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Just adding that Henry Gill was also Widowed when he married Sarah

Hi its on the 1839 marriage to Henry Gill it says Henry was a widow and sarah  :)

I don't know how desperate you are to settle all this, BUT I know that I would be very tempted to splash out £2.50 to obtain the digital image death certificate for John Scott in 1837.  :-\

From the GRO site - https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/login.asp

You will have to register/log in (no charge) then look for deaths in 1837 for John Scott, choose  the Ecclesfield RD entry and purchase - digital image is the cheapest.
