Burials in Birkenhead
« on: Monday 11 September 23 13:24 BST (UK) »
I am looking for the graves of
Edith Kate Dennis nee Woodley born 17th January 1890  died 5-11-1972 Birkenhead and
Henry Dennis born 26-12-1890 Plumstead, and died 24-4-1970 Birkenhead.

No trace of either of them buried or cremated at Landican or Flaybrick.

Not really sure where to look now, any ideas please?

The daughter shown on the 1939 entry married 1946 (died 2004) & had 2 children b 1948 & 1950.  Contacting them may help as both were adults when their grandparents died

shot in the dark - she was born in Stoke Damerel,Devon 16th Jan 1890
baptised nearly 16 years later - 23rd November 1905 in St Michael church Devonport  in Devon
.....
married Henry Dennis in August 1909 - also in Devonport ....
could she have gone back to a family grave at St Michael Devonport ??...worth a look ???

this tree owner is a Tanya Collins - does Collins ring a bell in your research ??

Eileen,
Do you have an address as to where they were living at the time of their deaths?  Where they living in Birkenhead itself or one of the surrounding places? There are other cemeteries around for example:
Town Lane, Higher Bebington
Bridle Road Bromborough/ Eastham boarder
Frankby Cemetery
Heswall Cemetery on Irby Road
etc.
Were they regular church goers if they were they could have been buried in the grave yard of that church?

Good hunting
