Thank you so much for these links. My Dutch isn't great, but I can follow it well enough to understand the details. It's interesting that Walter was a chemist. it's possible that he, like other members of the Hiby family, was working for the Dr. Otto Company, Carlos Otto being his uncle by marriage and Wilhelm Hiby being a partner in this firm. He could have been their representative in the Netherlands and possibly in England, if that is where he met his wife. How sad that he died in a car accident. The death notice is useful, too, giving family members' names which correspond with the register entries which you sent.
