George Henry Parkes; born Sheffield
« on: Thursday 14 September 23 05:41 BST (UK) »
This is my first effort at this family and I am asking on behalf of a friend and showing her how to approach RC.

G H Parkes  born 1922; died 2000.  married Zena Irene Curits b, 1918ish died 2003.

We are looking for his father and mother and siblings of each.  Father also George Henry  born about 1893.

Starting to work back from here and find more family.    ;)

Did Zena like to imply she was a bit younger than she was?

Not knowing if your friend has access to pay sites, I started with https://www.freebmd.org.uk/

This shows a Sheffield marriage so links to mckha’s post.

Then there is a birth 1922, Sheffield, September quarter
George H Parkes with mother’s name Roberts.

Yes thanks - you are on the right track - my friend hasn't chosen a user name yet hence me 'helping' but not very well.

Thanks so much Heywood.

One more question.     How does my friend find out the siblings of the  Zena's mother Florence Amy Pinder, who she knows was at the end of a long family -  whose parents died when she was very young, and she was brought up by her elder Siblings - Florence that is.   ;)
