Hi he would have been born 1910/11 all we know is he went to the orphanage when he was about 4.

my cousin said it would take a few weeks to get is it real me set up .
she did apply for a more intense search for a birth certificate for her dad and there is none so it doesn’t look like he was born in NZ.
Yes the info from the 1955 wedding certificate was still no parents but it did say he was divorced on the 3 of August before his marriage on 30 December 1955, when signing up for war in 1939 he said he was single he arrived back inNZ in 1945.
As you can see we haven’t got very far what I can say looking at a few photos he is definitely a Yeo not an Anderson.

Hi mckha489 I don’t know she didn’t say if it did I am sure she would have said but I will ask but guessing it didn’t but he all he said his birthday was the 1st Jan 1911 , Iteally don’t think he new very much himself I really think this is a brick wall we won’t nock down but I hope we will I can not believe we are 1st cousins and cannot figure this out.

This passenger list into Australia - Ship:  "Beltana"  - Departed UK > 9 October 1913

SINCLAIR - Mrs Helen *  - married
  ... with two children --  Andrew aged 5 and Hector aged 3 (bc 1910)

My note :   *  This Mrs SINCLAIR and her two sons Andrew and Hector, match agewise, to the information in family trees (@ ancestry) found for Andrew McBride SINCLAIR (d. NZ 1965 ).   It probaby also explains why there is no apparent immigration passenger information for this SINCLAIR family into New Zealand.   I haven't searched for Andrew McB. SINCLAIR's arrival in Australia ... but it seems that the family stayed in New South Wales at least up until January 1915 when  a daughter (Marion Galston SINCLAIR ) was born  on 21/1/1915. 


These SINCLAIRs are however in New Zealand by August 1916 for the birth of a son.

You say that he was 'sent' to NZ.  As far as I am aware children were not sent to NZ from the UK until much later, after the second world war.

For your info in case you don't know, this is what should be recorded on an NZ marriage certificate in 1955.

Thank you Dundee  for this information, no I didn’t know for sure what was on a wedding certificate.
Searching in New Zealand is all new to me.
