Reuben a miner married Hannah Hodgson 1815 Bradford. Son Thomas born 1818 Bradford and also a miner when he married Martha Wimpenny in 1844 in Pudsey and I have their details. Martha is shown in 1851 census  Combs, Dewsbury, Yorkshire Married age 30 General Servant in the house of Evison Dyson who she later married in 1857.

I am trying to find Thomas and his father Reuben in 1841 and 1851.
Can anyone help please

Thanks dinkey

A tree on Ancestry has him (incorrectly) dying in 1853 Dewsbury.  That death was a 1yr old ::) ::)

Martha married as Penny in 1844 - not Winpenny but her 1857 marriage shows them both as widowed & her father as Winpenny

A strange 1861 entry given that Martha had been living with Evison since 1851 & married to him since 1857 - Children from 1851 are shown as stepchildren -even son Dyson aged 4

Daughter Emma aged 9 baptismal entry on 19.10.1851 is also questionable as to parentage.  All other entries on page show parents just by christian name but Emma’s shows as “the daughter of Martha Mitchell - the wife of Thomas Mitchell occ labourer”

When son John Mitchell marries 27 December 1875 he gives Evison Dyson as his father.

Dyson Mitchell on the other hand does not list a father when he marries 23 February 1879 and the witnesses are his brother John Mitchell and his wife Sarah Dixon Mitchell.

Thank you everyone for you invaluable help. I have established the following details at baptisms of Martha's children
Reuben 6 Apr 1845 Father Thomas shown as Miner
John 4 Nov 1849 Father Thomas shown as Miner
Emma 19 Oct 1851 Father Thomas shown as Labourer
William 21 Aug 1853 Mother shown as Martha
Dyson Mitchell 22 Jul 1855 Mother shown as Martha Spinster

NB 1851 census was taken 30 March 1851. At that time Martha was shown as married servant living in the house of Evison Dyson shown as unmarried.

It looks like Thomas died sometime between 1851 and 1853, still trying to confirm actual death for him
