Perthshire Burial Registers
« on: Tuesday 19 September 23 10:46 BST (UK) »
HI All

On the 8th August I sent an email to Perth council if they had any plans to publish Perthshire burial records as an open data file as Stirlingshire have done.

I never received a reply so today I got in touch again and was advised to contact bereavement services so I have now sent an email to them and I notice that they are charging for a search so why can one council area produce that information and not others.

I will await an answer from bereavement services and I will keep you updated.

Yours Aye
BruceL

Good luck Bruce,
I am on your side.
My Patullo research would benefit greatly from these 'free' records.
Sadly i have no close rellies in Sterlingshire.
Looking forward to your result.

Cheers

HI All
Please see below response from Perth and Kinross council.

Perth & Kinross Council have some burial registers which are online now through the library and archives.  We do have plans to have the rest of our registers available, which we are currently working on in house at the moment.

I hope this information helps, if you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us

Yours Aye
