John Burke marriage 1859
« on: Wednesday 20 September 23 08:50 BST (UK) »
Hi folks
Looking for some help verifying the marriage of John Burke and Susan Holloran
According to the birth certificate of their son ( born in Cadder, Lanarkshire) John and Susan provided information that they married on 6th September 1859 in Westport, Ireland.
Thanks

It was a Catholic marriage, John's surname is spelt BOURKE.

I think it is Martin GERAGHTY?

I saw a copy of Susan's death cert and her parents' marriage is also there on 20 April 1833.

The pages of the register are all over the place so not completely confident of that year.  Unfortunately baptisms only survive from 1845.

Hi Debra
I believe that Susan parents ( as per death certificate) are Michael Holloran and Helen Guff.
As per above I will get a better picture on my laptop when I get home!
Thanks again Tam

Yes, they are on someone's family tree.  They have taken screenshots though instead of downloading the image, so they are not fabulous.
