You’ll see from the record that the informant of her death was her Grandson Hugh, the Great Uncle who I’d been looking for. A fantastic result!

Given Samuel's first wife had the surname Steel, this may be worth checking.

From Belfast Newsletter of 26/10/1967, the death of a Hugh Steele Patton, eldest son of a Hugh and Bella. He died at Drumaglea, Cloughmills and funeral was at Ballyweaney Presbyterian churchyard.

Also, on 4/1/1976, a death notice for another son of Hugh and Bella, being a David Gordon Patton, of 278 Frocess Road, Drumaglea. Several siblings of David named, but won't mention here in case any still living.

For Frocess, more usual  is Frosses.

This might be young Robert Patton since grandfather Robert Patton had died in 1929-

Ballymena Observer, 25 Nov.1932: ... Robert Patton, Frocess, Cloughmills, after being cautioned by the coroner, stated he was a farm labourer. ...
Several papers reported that Robert Patton, on a bicycle, knocked down a Joseph Hanna, aged 62, who died the same evening. Cows being driven along the road were mentioned and Robert was exonerated. Sadly this accident was only a few years after his grandfather was killed.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

To you all - thank you so much for all this superb information which I’m processing in awe!

Before a detailed response I’d like to share some documents as background including the details of Robert and Jenny Patton’s deaths based on the brilliant detective work kindly carried out by you all, as the link didn’t work.

First a copy of Robert and Jenny’s marriage in Clough in 1879, Robert lived in Frosses at the time, Jenny in Ballinamaddy.

Next the extracts from the Register of their deaths.

First (to keep the size down) about Robert who sadly died in an accident in 1929. Interesting to see the deputy coroner’s report compared to the newspapers’ report s.
