Hi,

I'm trying to trace the families of Don Winer from Ontario (born c1920) and Jeff Marples from British Columbia. They were stationed with my uncle in India during the Second World War. My uncle was with the Air Forces in India and went trekking in the Himalayas with Cpl Don Winer and Cpl Jeff Marples in November 1944.

It would be good to get in touch as I have a photo of Don and Jeff.

Could be this chap - ancestry tree with photo  (in fact there are 18 ancestry trees)

John Donald Winer 1920–1988

born 26 November 1920 - Exeter, Huron, Ontario, Canada

died 9 October 1988 -  Henderson Hospital Hamilton Ontario.

married 1947

Marian Theresa Sabourin 1927–1988

born 29 April 1927 - Alberta, Canada

died 8 September  1988 • Hamilton Ontario.

Could be 6 children.

From the info you give - if he married it would be after 1944 so any children/grandchildren are most likely to still be alive

Rootschat does not allow any info to be posted about living persons to protect their privacy

Have you checked for an obituary for him which could name family members
