Converting .pdf to Word

Can anyone recommend a good FREE program to do this please?

Directly from the folder - right-click, pick Open With... and then work your way through. Might have to click Choose another app and then More apps

Depending upon how complex (or involved) your PDF is, you may have varying results that you may, or may not be happy with. A lot of the PDFs that I deal with are comprised of images, graphics (logos, Adobe Illustrator art) and various other components. They sometimes come through a little jumbled.

If you know anyone who has Acrobat (Pro Version) - the SAVE is just an EXPORT (see attached) to Microsoft Word.

If it is not a particularly "personal" document, I would be willing to do it for you.

If you have the Word programme yourself, you can open PDF files with that.

Open up Word, find the fil you want to open on your computer, make sure the file type is changed to PDF and it will open. Takes a couple of minutes, although this will depend on how large or complex the file is. If it just text it should open fairly quickly but if a lot of images and graphics then will take a bit longer.
