I haven't a clue & there is no mention of Shepherds Bush in this directory of place names

Louisa’s death is registered Fulham

These details from free BMD

https://www.ukbmd.org.uk/reg/districts/fulham.html

Show that in 1901 some of Chelsea moved into Fulham and v.v.

If only could find Haydn Park road!  It’s in the newspapers, so did exist.

I have Mary and Louisa in the 1891 census in Islington. (Mary lied about her age!)
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

There's a very big difference between Islington and Westminster.
Yes, I understand that. Hence my question.

Do they have a mutual boundary? In terms of the registration districts of these names, did they include areas that are not generally regarded as being in the the area to which the name is informally applied? Were any areas in one ever transferred to the other? Is Mary's birthplace in 1911 an error, or could there have been some confusion?

Here is a useful map of registration districts as in 1881 and you can see that Islington and Westminster did not have a mutual boundary.

Here are details of movements in and out of Islington RD

And similarly for Westminster RD

Thank you, JenB. That's just the sort of thing I wanted.

So either the Mary Wilson in Chelsea Hospital isn't mine, or someone got her birthplace wrong. :(

Thank you :)

The transcription I am using has her down as Mary Hollert, which is unhelpful.

That's good  :)

Acton was in Brentford RD

So might this be her death? Mary H Wilson aged 64, 1st q 1916, Brentford 3a, 264
