Hi All,

The website for this yesterday seemed to have some IT issues or similar and then today its working but showing a new layout.

The search facility looks a lot more unfriendly than before and it seems to bring up photos but then when you click on the pic it gives you loads of garble...

Have they joined Stockport image archive now in making you pay to see the images does anyone know?  :'(

I think it was user error as images are coming up now  ;D
Still the search option/facility appears to have gone backwards though and appears more difficult to navigate! ha ha!

It appears that a problem remains with access to the Local Image collection website. It may or may not return. However, there is a workaround and you can go onto the GMLives catalogue and search by narrowing the term to 'photograph'.  http://www.gmlives.org.uk/

There are also some great Manchester images via Archives Plus Flckr https://www.flickr.com/photos/manchesterarchiveplus/
