Looking for Street children
« on: Wednesday 27 September 23 08:25 BST (UK) »
John Street (baptised Chiddingfold 6 Dec 1751 s/o William Street and Elizabeth nee Jennings) and Mary Child ( baptised Dunsfold 28 Dec 1752 d/o Thomas Child and Mary nee Baxter) were married at Dunsfold on 08 Sep 1774. I cannot definitely find a burial for Mary but think John Street may have been buried in Dunsfold on 19 Dec 1828. Can anyone find any children for the couple please.
Mary's brother Thomas Child and John's sister Elizabeth Street married in 17 Dec 1767 at Dunsfold and later moved to Pulborough in Sussex.

Thanks, I always forget to look at FreeReg. I have now found on there a group of children baptised to a John and Mary Street in Alfold. It's such a common name round there, I can't be sure if it's my couple of course.

I do not see another John to Mary marriage in Surrey or Sussex 1760 - 1785 on freereg, however I do see the baptisms you mention.

Good luck Colin

The Alfold baptised children of a John and Mary Street were
Charles  1778
Thomas 1781
Mary 1783
Elizabeth 1785
Richard  1787
George 1790

Sarah 1792
they fit nicely with the John s/o John (no mother recorded) bapt Chiddingfold 1775 found by ColC.

But what happened to them all?

must have missed a line somewhere when I copied them.- corrected in red
