Berwick, Golden Square Presbyterian Church, Communion roll 1845-1857
« on: Thursday 28 September 23 19:41 BST (UK) »
I have a screen grab of a page from FamilySearch Film # 103461914 (Communion roll, CH3/730/16, August 1845-June 1857). It shows on page 25 (Image 27 of 52) a list of people under the heading "Removed."
I have two questions about the data presented that I'm hoping someone familiar with it can answer.
First, I wish to know what the numerical data in Column 4 is.
Column 1 is a date.
2 is a sequential index number.
3 is the person's name.
4 is a number. I don't think it's an age, since age is included
5 is typically a place/address, sometimes with biographical info if the person is a married woman (e.g. "W of John Wallace" or "D of James Smith")
6 is seemingly a "notes" field. Some examples: "Died 22"; "Line to America"; "Died 75"; etc
Secondly, I wish to know what is meant by "Line" in the notes in Column 6.
Example from the cited source:
1851
July 23 | 436 | Mary Smith | 42 | D of Wo Smith Church St | Died 22 ---
      26 | 437 | Isabella Armstrong | 71 | wife of John Smith | Line to Ireland
Augt 11 | 438 | Thomas Milne | 13 | Tweed Street | Line to America.
