Colourisation of Old Photo, Dublin early 1900's
« on: Friday 29 September 23 15:03 BST (UK) »
Hi Rootschatters

I very recently came into possession of this rather amusing old picture of my 2 x great grandmother, Elizabeth O'Connor, standing proudly with some of her grandchildren on the steps of her greengrocer shop at 113 Amiens Street, Dublin, early 1900's.

I would be most grateful if any Rootschatters could kindly work their magic on colourising the picture - particularly emphasising the huge pile of cabbages outside the shop (!!) Looks like they've just been delivered from a local farm - wouldn't want to have to shift that lot ...   ;D

I'd just love a colourised version of the picture that I could get printed to hang on the wall. I got the picture from a cousin I made contact with through Ancestry, and it's the first time I've ever seen a picture of this family shop that I'd heard so much about down the years.

Any assistance would be very gratefully received.

Thanking you in advance

I was waiting to see how it would turn out - fantastic work, Carol.

You're so right Heywood, I just can't wait to get it framed and put it on the wall.  Just incredible Carol!

And as japeflakes said earlier, that's a lot of greens!! Don't need five-a-day there - that's plenty enough on its own!

I'm just so over the moon with that.

Big thanks again.
