Marriage certs

Hello once again,Quick question .Found the banns of the marriages online will the certs have the parents names on as well .one is for 1831 and the other for 1864 both in manchester area

There won't be a "marriage certificate" for the 1831 marriage -- it was before Registration started in 1837.
You should be able to find the entry in the Church Marriage register which will probably give the father's names.

For the 1864 marriage, there will be an entry in the Church Register and a Marriage Certificate --which will give identical information as one is a copy of the other. Again you should get the father's names.

The Mother's name was never asked for or entered on a marriage certificate or in Church registers.

Do you mean to describe the parish register entry? No central repository.

Many Church Registers are on Ancestry, FindMyPast or similar sites

The actual Registers are often held at the local County Archives
A few may still be held at the actual Church

Also try the local archives service - the online catalogues will usually tell you what they hold.

Marriage entries prior to 1.9.1837 do not show fathers name
