WW2 Draft Records
« on: Monday 02 October 23 21:40 BST (UK) »
I have a general question about the World War 2 US draft records.

Does anybody know if the physical description details come before or after the registration details in the record collection on Ancestry? I believe it is after but was hoping for some confirmation.

Thanks in advance

U.S., World War II Draft Registration Cards, 1942

Name of registrant
Age
Birth date
Birthplace
Residence
Employer information
Name and address of person who would always know the registrant's whereabouts
Physical description of registrant (race, height, weight, eye and hair colors, complexion)

There is more than one set of WWII draft registration cards, but I believe they both have the description after.  If you're concerned that there may be a mix-up, the page with the description of the person has information about the place where they registered at the bottom, which should be where they lived or nearby.
