Bray - Thorburn Marriage

No sign of your Joseph anywhere in the Globe records, sorry. He may be there and just not recorded but the records are pretty good. I did find three of his infant children though, all 3 are interred in common ground.

MARTHA BRAY, Craigneuk, aged 3 years.
Parents - Joseph Bray & Marion Williams.
Interred 16th August 1884.

ANN BRAY, Craigneuk, aged 3 days.
Parents Joseph Bray & Maryann Williams.
Interred 8th January 1885.

MARY BRAY, Windmillhill Street, aged 5 years.
Parents - Joseph Bray & Mary Ann Williams.
Interred 16th January 1888.

The only other Bray (I tried Brae, just in case) I could find is this one -

STILL BORN BRAY, Mill Road.
Parents - James Bray & Elizabeth Scott.
Interred in common ground, 9th July 1900.

According to my 1911 Motherwell Directory, there were three householders with the name Bray.

John Bray, steelworker, 67 Miller Street.
Josiah Bray, smelter, 8 Orbiston Place.
William Bray, engineman, Whamond Street.

According to my 1925 Motherwell & Wishaw Directory there were 2 householders with the name Bray, both in Motherwell.

John Charles Bray, engineman, 41 Mabel Street.
William Bray, engineer, 69b Burnside Street.

I have a few Thorburns , Brays on my Tree, George Bray Thorburn b 23 April 1911 Dalziel died 26 Dec 1955 he Married Elizabeth Fleming Watson 27 Jan 1933 Wishaw she was b 19 July 1914 died 16 April 1980 both are buried in Cambusnethan A 1554B (Headstone on Find a grave) they had 2 children Alexander  1933- 2007 and Elizabeth 1938 - 2010.
