My goodness, 40 is fairly elderly to join up in the middle of a mass slaughter, they must have been in severe need (not surprising if you take a look at the little house where they lived in Mounttown).

I really hope John Emanuel Kelly's son isn't the Kildare farmer who died in 1972 during a wave of farmer suicides using Paraquat. Right age, but then the deaths don't go on past 1972 in the online records.

(I'd join Antsy but it's pointless if you're looking at Irish records, because you need both UK and US, and indeed various European countries and Argentina would also be handy - and Antsy doesn't have an international version, only UK and US versions.)
