I think I may have found his wife's name to be Johnson, but FamilySearch has gone rogue again.

South Western Star, 1 January 1937:

Eckstein Road Husband's Generous Offer.
John Emmanuel Kelly, 7 Eckstein-road, Clapham juntion, was summoned by his wife, Angela Kelly, 137 Meyrick-road, Battersea, for desertion and neglecting to maintain her and her child.  Complainant said they lived in Ireland at the time of their marriage. Nine years ago defendant came to England, with her consent, to look for work. He was to make a home for her here and send for her.  He never did so.  He sent her 13s. a week, except for two periods of eight months.  She came to England to see if he would provide a home and to go into a sanatorium. She wanted to live with him. In August this year he said he would not live with her again.  Defendant said he had always sent 13s a week, except when he was unemployed and when he was laid up.  He was a platelayer, employed by the Southern Railway, and earned £2 9s a week.  Asked by Mr Mullins what he would offer to maintain his wife and child he at first said 13s.  On being pressed he offered 17s 6d.  "Now you have made a reasonable offer I won't criticise you," said Mr. Mullins. "It's a generous offer in the circumstances. I shall make an order for that amount."

On 16 July 1924, John Kelly, an Insurance Rep. living at 103 Hollybank Road, Drumcondra, married Angela Carroll of 4 Emmett Street Dun Laoghaire, the two fathers were listed as John Kelly, Secretary and Peter Carroll, Gardener:

This looks like Angela in 1911 and 1901:

Oh my goodness, what a flake! Thank you very much, @gaffy and @Ladyhawk.
A platelayer on the railway. Whoof. I assumed the poor man would follow in his father's footsteps…

I hadn't thought of the newspapers. Found JE's mother's death notice, and also a fatal accident involving his brother Leo:
Irish Times notice, Saturday 18 November 1944: Kelly, died November 8 1944, at a private nursing home. Mary Margaret, née Duhy, 103 Hollybank Road, widow of the late John Kelly.
Two reports in Irish Times on 22 and 24 March 1926 about a fatal boating accident on a very cold 23 March in which Leo Kelly and four other members of the Ringsend Boat Club were aboard a racing skiff they were practising in, on the Liffey, when the tiller and one of the outriggers gave way and they all went into the water. P O’Brien, mate of the sailing ship JTS threw them lifebuoys, but one of the lads, James McGuinness, 22, of Coolarthy, Edworthstown, Co Longford, was drowned.
I see it was the TB that got Angela, poor girl. Just about 15 years before TB became curable.

Irish Independent, 12 December 1916:
DUHY - December 9, 1916, at his daughter's residence, 103 Hollybank Road, Drumcondra, John Duhy, of 30 Main Street, Tipperary. Funeral on this (Tuesday) morning, 12th inst., from St. Columba's Church, Iona Road, Drumcondra, after 10 o'clock Mass. R.I.P.

From the Will Calendars entry below, it looks like he was not just a grocer, but a spirit grocer, there was no valid will, administration of his estate was granted to 'John P. Duhy Traveller':

I'm assuming the above reference was to his son John, shown living with the Kelly's in Drishogue, Millmount Avenue in 1901, he married Mary Catherine Derwin in 1908, here they were in 1911:
http://census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Dublin/Drumcondra/St__Alphonsus_Road/25717/

Like Mary's birth registration, the mother's maiden name for John was recorded as Catherine Power:
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1880/02872/2052558.pdf

A 'maybe' for Catherine's Duhy's death:
