If she married as Bland & is shown as a widow - what was her maiden name?

Have you looked for a marriage to Mr Bland & a death for Mr Bland?

Have you seen the actual marriage cert?

Are you sure you have the right 1851 entry?  That Frances is shown as Bland & is unmarried??

All the children with Robert and "Francis" on 1861 have mmn Bland, and the eldest son has Bland as his middle name which suggests it is her maiden name.  maybe the widow on the marriage register was incorrect?

Who were the witnesses to the marriage? I'm wondering if Robert and Frances might have eloped to get married, and still hadn't got round to telling their parents by the time of the census. Also, what father's name did Frances give?

Calling herself a widow (if she did) might have been a way for Frances to head off any enquiries about parental consent, although at the age of 23/24 (based on 1851 census) even as a single woman she shouldn't have needed this.
Researching among others:
Bartle, Bilton, Bingley, Campbell, Craven, Emmott, Harcourt, Hirst, Kellet(t), Kennedy,
Meaburn, Mennile/Meynell, Metcalf(e), Palliser, Robinson, Rutter, Shipley, Stow, Wilkinson

Thank's folk's and Boo many thanks for the link to the familysearch image I'm thinking they might have hid the marraige for whatever reason and Frances obviously spent time in the Parish for the purpose of the
marraige,Robert died in Benwell well into his eighties his father was the schoolmaster at Gilling west then
the William Turner Hospital near Redcar his elder brother was a fairly important businessman in Middlesbrough and was Mayor in 1865.
