I have had walking exercises again today,  aftercwqking so far in London today I did over 7 000 steps today,  think that is my lot  .

Drop in temperature today considerably.

Victoria, hope you managed to find  where the young man lived,  you are very kind

Well, if we are on the same bus he often gets off a stop before the one nearest his home and carries my bag (s) to the corner of my road, then I have a very short walk to my house.
He is most pleasant , and so caring of his Mum.
He likes my cakes and the  trifles I make for Church events.
He has gadgets, yesterday an all singing all dancing watch as big as a clock!- It could do everything and is probably a danger to shipping if not aircraft!
We have a laugh, which we both enjoy.
Viktoria.

Spent yesterday in back garden, scraping moss off paths for safety - again! With recent weather grows quicker than I can scrape it off!
Today? Contemplating buying new wellies!
TY

Last time I looked at buying new wellies, I found their style had changed since about 25 years ago when I last bought wellies. They seem to be designed now for folk with no calves………and I wouldn’t say I had large calves .

I've found the same problem. My OH suggests it's because I have short legs!!!!

Ti's true.

Well my local farmer friends have had plenty of rain over the last 36  hours,  hopefully they can get their drilling done .

Amazing  how quick, the temps change, in London on Tuesday it must have been over 70 degrees,  my grandaughter  and I were so fortunate to have had such a lovely day .

Wellies,  if they are for the garden have you thought about just cheap ones or golloshes,  the pair I had for years are far to tight, can get my feet in but very difficult to get off easily,  the previous pair I ripped to pieces when I had an accident with a lawn  mower, my neighbour wears crocs, other makes are available.

Have a nice weekend everyone

Not been active on here recently, except for following the the thread. Wife has not been well and had a couple of brief spells in hospital. Slowly improving, but a big boost on its way as our son Andrew , from Australia will be with us next week for a few days. A flying visit to work in with his own family commitments down under. Looking forward to seeing him again. Last time was Jan 2022 when we had a family gathering to scatter dear Nick's ashes.
