Gnr 36276 Francis Henry Hardy of RFA was Discharged M U in November 1917 and awarded Silver War Badge

What does M U at Discharge mean ?

I can't find any Disability Pension

He received a pension with effect from 14 November 1917 -- disability recorded as 'GSW Left Hand- which was attributable to his service. (GSW = Gun Shot Wound, also used for shrapnel wounds)
