Reading that other thread - I am wondering why you are pursuing this marriage etc as the OP - Wirral Lad only appears to be interested in Henry Audley.  There is no mention of any requirement to research Sybil Fogel

Solly Fogel was male as per GRO online

Thought it probably was but wasn't going to waste time in case it was something else the poster had looked at. Hence the question  :)

I can't find anything on Sybil Fogal except her marriage, I feel you ought to purchase the certificate, she married about aged 27. was she married before or was there  change of name
Her daughter was Shirley Defries,  shown on death notice.

Still looking

LM

SS, NO IT IS NOT A WASTE OF TIME IN MY OPINION, SOMETHING MIGHT COME UP BUT MYSELF I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING

The OP - Wirral Lad - does not appear to be buying the first marriage cert looking at his replies.  Is he prepared to buy this one to advance his research?

If Sybil was previously married - she could have married outside England

There is a Sybil FOGEL on the London  Electoral  Registers in 1934 and 1935 in Hackney :

1934
209 Albion Road
Maurice FOGEL
Milly FOGEL
Nathan Alec FOGEL
Sybil FOGEL

1935
209 Albion Road
all names as above

Earlier entries in the Registers indicate that Nathan and Millie FOGEL are the householders. I can find the couple on the 1921 census with their children but there is no Sybil in the family. The nearest birth of a girl I could find on GRO is Sarah FOGEL. Certificate details as follows :

15 March 1913 at 36 Richard Street / Sarah / girl / Nathan FOGEL / Millie FOGEL formerly SCHAFFER /Tailors Presser / N FOGEL father 36 Richard Street

I believe I have found  Nathan FOGEL , with wife as Minnie , in 1911 here :

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XWG1-QSQ

It seems unlikely that Sarah FOGEL is Sybil and it is possible that Sybil FOGEL is related to this family but is not a daughter of Nathan and Millie. I cannot get any closer to making a connection. In addition Henry & Sybil AUDLEY are on the Electoral Register  in Chelsea in 1947 with Kate FOGEL , but I haven't been able to connect Kate FOGEL either.

The marriage certificate seems the only way forward.

That was very much what I found Christine.  Haven't given up on her because Sybil was described as Sybil S Audley which very often in the USA the middle initial could also indicate a surname ??
