Just sent for death certificate. Was at local studies. They cant find him in sunderland cemeterirs  either.

Suspect surname has been transcribed as Manson in the 1921 census.

This is what I know

John Mawson 1843 b Coxhoe. Died 5th September 1929 at 20 Grange Street Grangetown Sunderland.

First marriage Elizabeth Copeland 1st July 1862 she died 1877 and buried in Holy innocents churchyard Tudhoe Spennymore co Durham.

2nd MARRIAGE Elizabeth Raine or Ranson ALSO IN 1877.

She was about 20 according to the census.

1921 census both lived in Westoe South Shields.

1929. Electoral register shows him living with youngest so William Mawson b 1872 in Grangetown Sunderland .

Dont know what happened to second wife  , can't find registered death for her.

And finally still lost John somewhere buried.

Appreciate help so far . Any more ideas. THANKS.

Hi, trying to locate burial for my Get Grandfather John Mawson 1843 to 1929. Civil death registered Sunderland in September 1929. Unable to find a burial. Crematorium not nuilt till 1937. Ant ideas what to do next ? Thanks.

Hi , just checked certificate and it dies not mention his status. It does mention his son William was present at his death.
