Handwriting help - Scottish marriage 1872

I'm hoping somebody might be able to help interpret some of the handwriting on this extract.
I've underlined in blue the words that I have been unable to read.

The first is a place name
The second is the maiden surname of Euphemia McLeod

I agree that the maiden Name is Shaw

However I don't think the problem is handwriting but rather the quality/ resolution of the scan.
I'd suggest you contact Scotland's People and explain that you are unable to decipher the place name and ask if they would check the original to ascertain what it says.
 They have the original registers and, in my experience, will be willing to help

Margow, like you, I think it might be Linkhouse. Linkhouse or Linkfield are the only two possibilities I can see in the censuses around that time. As Boo suggests, asking for a fresh image can make a big difference to the ligibility of these images.

Have you managed to find Euphemia Gillies's birth details? Just wondering if this is her in 1861...11 years before her marriage where she showed as aged 29:

Thanks all, great advice! I will contact Scotland's People and see if they can check the original records. Looks like the name is likely to be Shaw which I also thought but wanted a fresh perspective.

Monica: It seems very likely that is her in the 1861 census - I haven't yet seen it. The research I've done so far led me to conclude that she was born on the Isle of Skye which used to be part of Inverness.  I found her on the 1891 census after the family eventually settled in Greenock and later Glasgow.
