re a "Grog Stealing Case" in Queenstown Police Court, with a number of aliases given.

A similar charge to the above was preferred against Thomas Scott, alias Te Aukato, alias Tohara, alias Tikon Temati, alias Matthew Tohora, alias Haromi. He. pleaded not guilty, and was remanded. On resuming the charge -was withdrawn.

Witness in a case:
Zeehan and Dundas Herald,  Tue 13 Aug 1912
Harold V. Wade appeared on remand charged with obtaining by means of false pretences the sum of £1 from Te Aukuti Tohara (Tom Scott).

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get the certificate from the archives!

 I will get Te Aukati’s death certificate and hopefully his parents will be listed there!
