Wow! Sandra, what a lot of information! thank you so much. We have always known that there were many more female Anthonys than males. My Father was desperate for a Son to carry on the Anthony name as he was the youngest and had 3 older sisters and he got his wish, and my brother had two sons who also had sons!
I am so grateful for the time spent and the information that you have gathered.

Deliah Anthony - born 1871, at Clarkes Beach. Deliah, baptised December 10, 1871, daughter Willliam and Emma Anthony.

Delilah and Martha have been difficult to trace, either they died young, or left Nfld  :-\
I really appreciate all your help on this one. I do have the photo of William, Elizabeth and the baby Elizabeth's grave stone that I took some years ago when we visited St. John's.

There was a Martha Jane born 1866 but parents were not quite right.  George Anthony and Elizabeth  :-\

Just butting in here to add:

There is a Martha Jane baptised 25 Nov 1866, parents William and Emma ANTONY  (no H) at Clarkes Beach, and on the same day, a Mary Bertha, daughter of James and Elizabeth ANTONY.  (Church of England)

In other entries, the parents (both sets) are written ANTHONY, so perhaps yours?
