Hi,

From posts 1 and 4 with the mention of USA Social Security #, it doesn't mean that Frank ever lived in the USA. He may have ended up crossing the border on the odd occasion for work, which would
require him to have a USA Social Security #.

It's complicated and even I don't understand it.  It had to do with the Railroad Pension Act and USA/Canada taxation agreements. I am aware of this as my late father-in-law was a Canadian
National Railway employee with a USA Social Security # but was a life long resident of Montreal.

Having said that, I think this is Frank in the Canada Voters Lists,
1945/1949/1958/1962/1963/1965 with an address in Verdun, Quebec
Walker, Frank, carman inspector, CNR (Canadian National Railway)
Walker, Annie, Mrs.
In 1949, daughter Annie is listed as Walker, Annie Miss, buyer, along with her parents.
In 1962/1963/1965 Frank is listed as retired.

Great stuff dbree  :)  Haven't had any luck so far finding John Walker born 1888 after the 1931
census.
