Yes I posted that.
I thought you meant that James’ father left his personal possessions to Maria and Kate.

Do you have Ellen in any records?

Hello.  Sorry if I am confusing you.   It was James Snr who left money etc to the two ladies.

Yes, I thought so. So when and where did he die?

Do you have evidence that it is the same James who was your James’ father?

Is that your James married to Catherine?

Apologies again.
If you are just searching a birth record. That has been answered.

I am asking questions because you said you don’t have a marriage for Ellen and James.

Hello.  James Snr died 16 November 1882 in the Cork Fever Hospital.   He is given as a Police Pensioner.  On James Jnr's marriage cert it is the same James Snr given as a Police Officer.   No records on Ellen other than her name being given on James Jnr's Baptism Record.   Yes, initially I was trying to find out about James Jnr's birth but if anything else could be found that would be appreciated.   Am off to prepare tea now.  I'll check later to see if there are any replies.   Thank you all for your help and time spent.  Much appreciated.

age 54 at death in 1882, gives him a birth abt 1828.

I don't think he married Ellen, it's possible he was already already married to someone else

Marriage of Kate Browne?

Ignore that. I realise her father is a ‘Pensioner Military’ and of course she would be too young to be an executor in 1882.
