Diary summary week ending 29th October

Morning all, a tad chilly today after a nice day yesterday.
Taking my grandaughter  to the station in short while, off to Cornwall to surf would you believe,  house sitters in to look after the animals, can't go in, that let's me off the washing  I do when my daughter goes away, can't say I am sorry as it is the drying  this time of the year

Spent yesterday, as usual, at the Yacht Club karaoke!
There's only 10-20 of us; and I don't sing ;)

We had a "Wear It Pink" day, for Breast Cancer Awareness - my mum had a mastectomy, and survived another 30 years.
So raising funds for Manx Breast Cancer is very dear to me.
We raised £73.35.

And, yes! I did wear pink :D
Pale pink shorts and blazer; Bright pink shirt.
I even painted my toenails Neon pink!

Never ever managed to paint my fingernails and leave it on for more than an hour or two, let alone toenails at all!

Me neither, as soon as painted them they are smeared, so I don't bother, clean nails and that is good enough for me, not to say I have never had mine painted  but I think the new whatever they are called seems to make the varnish harder if that makes sense

I always painted my toenails when we used to holiday in the South of France each year - very reasonably priced and beautifully coloured varnish on sale there.  We don't go any more because I'm not supposed to lie in the sun  :'( :'( :'(  However, I did find that my fingernails are very thin and prone to splitting, BUT I have discovered nail-hardener.  I now go and have everything updated on a 3-weekly routine - wonderful!!  No colour, but I do have shiny nails and it's only £10.00 per visit.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!

I’ve never worn nail varnish myself. Both daughters love getting their nails done though.

Sorry L.M. You had started another Diary.

I am having to log in each time and don’t seem to get notifications straight away.
It will be something I have done or not done!

I peeled  some mushrooms last week and gosh how they stained my nails!
I have a white pencil which is for nails ,you run it under your them and it whitens the underside ,looks really good.
I like the transparent slightly pink varnish.

Well my other news is in the diary I started because I did not find this one.
I will abandon that one now though.
