I think John Henry married Lily Williams in 1928. She looks to have died

Lily Freeman (28) 22 Knollbeck Lane, Brampton Brierlow, who died at Alma Road Hospital, Rotherham., death was due to septicaema arising from an attempt to seek an abortion. The husband John Henry Freeman, a miner, said a seven year old son died a week before his mother. The father said there were two other children.

Thanks. I had seen the E Minnie and thought that the E was a mistake. I have her birth certificate so the birth date is correct. I had looked and looked for every possible marriage and death, yet you found it!

That is so sad. Minnie's mother Emily died the same day that her youngest sibling was born. I always find those records really sad.
