The collar dogs appear to be a sphinx, which might narrow it down to the Lincolnshire Regiment or the Gloucestershire Regiment, but the capbadge doesn't work for either of them. A better fit for the capbadge would be the South Wales Borderers, or much less likely, the South Lancashire Regiment, although offhand I don't know whether either of these regiments wore the sphinx as their collar dogs.

Sadly this is my Photo of the screen from Photos sent to me on Message on my King's Facebook Group asking for my help even though Poster knew they weren't King's just all taken in Studio in St Helens and Album ended up in New Zealand and donated to History Cafe St Helens to display and hopefully identity the Regts - but Photos Copies not very good quality-Sorry

While the South Lancs Regt does have a sphinx in their badge (as do a number of other Regiments which fought in Egypt), and their cap badge does slightly resemble the capbadge in the photograph, after a brief bit of research I don't think he is wearing the correct collar dogs for the South Lancs, see image below
