James Cecil Gordon Edington born 14 May 1901 York, Ontario
« on: Tuesday 24 October 23 13:17 BST (UK) »
The above was the son of James Alexander Edington (1867-1950) and Elizabeth nee Ford (1866-1954); he married Katherine Jones( 1898-1938)  27 Oct 1936 in Toronto.
I'm unable to find a death record for him-maybe he married again?

Have you checked with Mount Pleasant Cemetery to see if there was a family grave ?
The parents James and Elizabeth and wife Katherine are all buried there.

There would be no death record online for that time frame.

Hi Sandra I looked under his various Christian names but to no avail. I've emailed Mount Pleasant as you suggested.

You may be aware of that information but anyone researching to help you isn't.

It might be that if we can find obituaries for his siblings they may mention James/Gordon or Cecil Edington (which ever name he might have used) or the place where he lived at that time.  Therefore any information put on this thread assists all the researchers trying to help you.  People have different resources which can help.

Sister Anne was listed at St. John's Norway Cemetery and Crematorium
The Beaches, Toronto Municipality, Ontario is there any record of James/Gordon/Cecil Edington in there records ?

I see the 13 ancestry trees now.

For anyone researching (further investigation needed) - it maybe that James used the name Gordon as per 1931 census. So worth checking these entries.

Canada Voters List - 1957 - Isabella Street. St. Paul, Ontario, Canada.  This one has a wife Marie.
Gordon retired ?

Canada Voters List -  1965 - 272 Elmwood Avenue. York Ontario. Gordon (retired) and Marie

Canada Voters List -  1968 - 272 Elmwood Avenue. York Ontario. Gordon (retired) and Marie
