Familysearch has Marie Maines' first marriage to William Arthur Maines - 14 Jan 1918.   Right parents...Lillie and Albert Maines.    That says she was about 18...born 1900ish.

1900 census in Buffalo, 1911 in Toronto.    Those say she was born in May 1899.   (familysearch)
