The 1931 Canadian Census has only been transcribed and available for a short time, so all  idiosyncrasies have been ironed out yet.

This is probably Muriel Simmons - AKA Dolly Hockaday (Muriel sister to John W Simmons)

Sorry to say, you're going away from the main subject. I'm not interested in John W Simmons siblings or parents as they are not my direct relations/ancestors. My direct ancestors/relations are Minnie and Maggie or Margaret Shepherdson and their children.
Was Thelma in reality Minnie or a 2nd partner?

You made a comment on the 1931 census (a copy of which was found for you) I was explaining
what those family had been transcribed as.

The thread explains who Thelma is, if you read it properly.

If your not interested in John W Simmons siblings or parents as they are not your direct relations/ancestors, then you won't be interested in his wife Thelma.

To clarify for the last time :

John William Simmons married Minnie Shepherdson.

The son John W (Jack) Simmons born 1918 married Thelma.

No one has managed to find Margaret/Maggie Shepherdson / Jones after the death of her husband, perhaps she remarried.
